HEllo and welcome back! This is Garry Ablett with Tony Lockett for color as allways! Tony, What do you think of this team's chances this season? Well Garry, I'd say it is about as good if not better than last season. What do you mean, Tony? This team sucked last year. That's what I meant. They suck, ergo, no chance. Does this team have any bright spots at all?? Well, I would say, as a whole no. However, this team is STILL better than those monkeys that Manix keeps hiring. Heck, I could play better than some of those goons Manix has and I retired 4 years ago. Running from angry Manix mobs tends to do that for you. I would admit that this year's on-ball group looks tough. Maybe not as good as in years past, but they have alot of potential. One-eye had a great season after his slow start, while Goblin did everything BUT score. He will have to do a better job of splitting the poles this season for this squad to improve. What about for the third on-baller slot, Tony?? Well, The LAdy has to make a decision. Does she go with the more experienced John Parsinen or with the talented, but unproven newbie Russell Rof Cattle. Personally, I think she'll go with Parsinen. Well That does it for this week. This is Garry Ablett for Tony Lockett saying so long from Khatover!! This has been a WGGE production. ------------------------------------------------------- Press from the Daveland Warriors ------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------- Press from the Himeji Herons ------------------------------------------------------- Training is in full swing for the Herons. We're going into this season with our strongest list ever, and are looking forward to improving on last year. Last year we ahd one of the best defenses in Silver, but our forward line let us down. Expect more scoring from the Herons this year. Our overall objectives for the season are as follows (in order of importance): 1) Beat the Destroyers. 2) Win at least 10 games. 3) Get promoted to Gold. Go the Herons! Chris Paragreen Manager, Himeji Herons "Gambaroh Himeji! Hustle! Hustle! Hustle!" ------------------------------------------------------- Press from the Buffalo Knights ------------------------------------------------------- Newcomers? Ha! We stunk with last year's team and we can stink just as easily with the same bunch of rejects, felons and losers this season, maybe even more, so you just wait and see! ------------------------------------------------------- Press from the The Mythstics ------------------------------------------------------- Antarctica. Silence. Whiteness. Seances suspended. ------------------------------------------------------- Press from the Air-Pacific Groundhogs ------------------------------------------------------- The Groundhogs are raring to go as they haven't been since their heady days in Gold - who knows how far they'll go? As a partisan, I'm willing to put down good money that they make it to relegation! Stay tuned for more, true-believers!
