Pictured is the premier issue, Monday - June 7th 1965, of "DISC A GO-GO", a Pacific Northwest publication created by Jerry Dennon. Jerry was an early record producer for "the Kingsman" of Louie, Louie fame. For those living in Seattle, this publication is much like "the Seattle Rocket" magazine of today.
This premier issue is Volume 1, No. 1 and features a front page article on the Beatles Northwest appearance at the Portland Coliseum on August 22, 1965. The article states that the Beatles will be staying at the Hilton Hotel in Portland Oregon for one night. They performed two shows on August 22nd at 3:30pm and 8:00pm. Ticket prices were $4, $5 and $6.
The article goes on to talk about the release of the Beatles new film HELP!. It also mentions that the original name of the movie was to be "8 Arms To Hold You" but was later renamed.
