| The Guitar Trio, (Al Di Meola, John McLaughlin and
Paco DeLucia) reunited for a world tour in 1996, the first time since their
early 1980's tour. This is a concert I wanted to see very much but
unfortunately the tour didn't make it close enough to Seattle Washington for me
to go. The next best thing was to contact tour promotors or the management of
the various venues to see if I could possible get the "Trio" to
autograph a concert book or playbill for me. I contacted the management of the Avery Fisher Hall, Lincoln Center in New York. After giving them my sad story about not being able to make any of the venues they informed me that they would try to get the "Trio" to sign for me. I never expected anything. After about 3 weeks I received a playbill from Avery and was pleasantly surprised that they had all three performers sign the inside of the book for me. Very cool. Thank you Avery!!! |
