Dragon Riders of
Anne McCaffrey - Author of the highly acclaimed Dragon series (Dragon Riders of
Pern), Anne is one of the best known SF writers today. Anne lives at
Dragonhold, in the hills of County Wicklow, Ireland, with assorted horses,
cats, and a dog. She says, "I have green eyes, silver hair, and freckles -
the rest changes without notice". Anne has been a long time supporter of
Octocon and Irish SF fandom. She was one of the original sponsors of the Irish
Science Fiction Association.

Dragon Riders
of Pern - Fantasy series on an alien world where
dragons and humans bond for life, and both are united against the menace of
"thread" (little bundles of destruction that fall from space every so
often. Dragons have the ability to "blink" in and out of time and
space to transport anywhere in time or and place.
