July 3, 2009 Became inspired with a story concept, so I put fingers to the keyboard and punched out a "Blank Page". April 22, 2009 Took a trip to the Desert Botanical Gardens in Phoenix, Arizona to view the Dale Chihuly exhibit: 'The Nature of Glass' April 19, 2009 Nice easy hike to an ancient pictograph site at the V Bar V Heritage Site. Take the family, good fun. November 8, 2008 The North Rim of the Grand Canyon offers by far the best eye candy one can observe of this wondrous environment. See for yourself. North Rim Grand Canyon. November 7, 2008 In the late 19th century there were few places to cross the Colorado River, Lees Ferry was the Northern most crossing. Located approximately 25 river miles from present day Glen Canyon Dam, Lees Ferry was the only crossing for another 250 river miles. Soon after this crossing are the beginnings of the hell fire rapids of the Colorado river. Lees Ferry Crossing November 6, 2008 Made a return trip to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. The only difference from my previous trip is that I entered the park from the east along Arizona Highway 64. You can pick it up just South of Cameron, Arizona from Highway 89. The benefit of viewing the canyon from this direction far out weighs the main entrance into the park to the South Rim Trail. This part of the South Rim is well worth the effort. October 21, 2008 Stepped out into the wilderness along the Bell Trail via Wet Beaver Creek. A must do hike. September 27, 2008 Went and visited Congress. Congress, Arizona that is. And to my surprise I came upon 'Poor Yorick'. April 22, 2008 Trekked the New Goldwater Lake Trail. This is a nice hike and a real joy. April 14, 2008 Did some 4 wheeling in the wilderness Perkingston and Jerome. Great trip and lots of great color. March 19, 2008 Took a trip to the Grand Canyon and trekked along the South Rim Trail. This again is a must. Never seen so many cameras in one place. March 18, 2008 Took a trip to Slide Rock in Oak creek Canyon. If you have never been there, this is a must see, with out any doubt. March 7, 2008 Took a nice trip to Montezuma Well. Very educational. Also, followed it up with a visit to Tuzigoot Monument. February 22, 2008 Traversed through a real nice loop trail to Wolf Creek Falls - great fun. January 18, 2008 First hike of the new year and a very nice one, indeed. Yeager Canyon Loop Trail November 14, 2007 Took a nice short trek along side Green Gulch Spring to the top of Spud Mountain. July 14, 2007 A visit to Arizona's Meteor Crater. June 1, 2006 Summer like weather during the late spring brings me out into the Woodchute Wilderness for a cooling trek in the Black Hills of Woodchute Mountain. November 21, 2004 A new essay, Dissent and Patriotism October 27, 2004 We had a Lunar Eclipse last night which was exciting to witness. A big bright full harvest light moon blanketed in a reddish orange color. Because red is the only color spectrum that is not filtered out as the light waves are passed through the earth atmosphere. November 15, 2003 Ventured into another trek into the upper Skykomish River Basin - Mount Index and into Lake Serene and Bridal Veil Falls. A very worth while adventure.
