Four Wheeling in the Wilderness
Perkingston and Jerome

During the early or mid spring after a good wet winter, this trip is a good adventure filled with allot of color under a bright blue sky. If your not trekking in the wilderness, then wheeling is the next best thing. Bring a camera and a picnic basket, because there will be plenty of click - click and plenty of snack - snack. If you don't want to kick back and soak in the views and there are plenty, then take a stroll in the town of Jerome. This small artist community is a popular spot with all who find themselves in the town center.

Directions:
1. Drive to Chino Valley via Highway 89.
2. At the Perkingston turn off (Perkston Road) - Turn Right
3. When you reach the 'T' in the road (otherwise the end of the road) - Turn right for Perkinston    or Turn Left for Jerome.

Road Condictions:
For a forest service road, this one is well maintained. Graved in most areas and somewhat bumpy in others. Outside of that, it's in good shape.
