I spent three years of my life on this ship from 1965 to 1968. In which I participated in two western pacific cruses, seven tours of Viet Nam and numerous ports of call in between. There is no better way to gain your sea legs then on a wooden ship. It was a great tour of duty and it holds a fond place in my heart.
