Look out for a new look!

So as some of you cronic visitors, if there are any visitors at all, may have noticed that I'm doing alot of changes on my website lately. Look out for some newer changes in the future, I'm doing some more re-organization, cleaning things up abit. Especially now that I've got the website functioning at html 4.01 verified. The title, navigation and images are all getting moved. I'm going to rip out the aquatic obsessions all together and just use The fish blog for that. I'm also going to rip out the digital and slr photos pages... because both are now combined in the photo gallery. It's a nice big project.

Pictures!

On saturday morning, 8/5/2006, I decided to go out at 4am with my friend Austin and take some pictures around the Seattle area... I think this was one of my most productive photographing outings yet...

So first Austin and I got the bright idea of running up to Gas Works Park in Seattle.

Seattle Skyline from Gasworks Park at 4am.

Heres another from Gasworks park.

And a 3rd one from Gasworks.

Then we ran off to an overpass over I-5 just north of Downtown Seattle.

I-5 in real color, all reddish from the Sodium Vapor Lamps. This was a 15 second exposure.

This one was with the white balance on the camera adjusted. Also a 15 second exposure.

The Space Needle at Dawn. 10 second exposure.

Me on that I-5 overpass. Photographed by Austin

After that, we grabbed some pictures from Downtown it's self wich I felt not very exciting so I choose not to take any pictures. Then we went up to Richmond Beach. We got there around 6:30am.

Merging on I-5 North. Photographed by Austin

Headin down to the beach. Photographed by Austin.

Another one of us before We started heading down... photographed by Austin

I was suposed to look emo in this one... Notice all the lack of vegitation on the hill side. Photographed by Austin.

The fire was so hot, that all these leaves on the tree turned brown just from heat exposure.

A melted beer can that was in the middle of the fire.

The burned hill side.

More of the burned hill side.

Another good shot to show how huge this fire was.

We started walking back up through some side trail I've never been up before.

A nice view of Kingston and the Olympics.

Alot of litter! Some people are so stupid and obnoxious.

Theres Me... Austin took this one.

Further up the trail now...

From somewhere along that trial.

Probably one of the best spots I've found at that beach. Very difficult to get to. But it was worth it.

Another shot from that nice spot.

Austin decided to hug a tree as we were leaving...

Austin took this one as I was climbing the rest of the way up the hill.

Another nice one he took while we were headin back to the car.

Well that was it for the morning, I had alot of fun and plan to re-visit some of these places.

These are just a few of what I've uploaded, I should have my website up to date with all these new images in a couple hours or by late tonight.

Pearl Jam at the Gorge 7/22/2006

Well go figure, the concert was on pretty much the hottest day we've had so far this summer. They were saying it got up to 116 degrees at the Gorge, in George, Wa. Anyway, I couldn't get my normal camera in so these dumb camera phone images will have to do.

Looking North up the Columbian River Gorge.

Some of the crowd, it's too hot to do much here. And a nice shot of the stage.

And, of course, no concert is complete until I have 2 beutiful woman clinging to me... mwahahahahahaha!

That was all I had as far as pictures went. The band managed to still play for 3 hours. Impressivily for the given heat that we had. They did stop every 2 or 3 songs for a break however. They difinataly wern't as energetic as they were last year. Eddie Vedder didn't have a whole lot to say on the Mic this year either. Last year he got the whole crowd saying "Hello Tom, Come Down Tom" due to the fact that Tom Petty was playing the next night and the idea was to try to get him to come down and say hi to us. Anyway, we still had fun! It was a good once in a year get out of the house/work thing.

A good movie quote

"Few people understand the psychology of dealing with a highway traffic cop. Your normal speeder will panic and immediately pull over to the side. This is wrong. It arouses contempt in the cop-heart. Make the bastard chase you. He will follow." --Raoul Duke (Johnny Depp's Charature) From Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

Blogger.com

I've been slowly exploaring diffrent things I can do with this new blog. Mainly, I'm still working on the layout, I really love how I can completly edit the ENTIRE template of this blog. I can make it look like anything I want it to within the whole html/css world. I'm still learning alot however, and slowly getting things to match with my website. You may have noticed I managed to get this embedded into my website slightly. I'm still going through the style sheets and trying to figure out what it's doing to my table's colors and codes, and what not. I'm open to any tips or advice.
