Tank Swap!
So, My friend who was helping me figure out what to do for plants in my 10 gallon tank decided it'd be a much better idea to set up a 20 gallon tank instead, besides, a bigger tank in the living room would look nice right?
So I bought another 10lbs bag of florite. And we built a new fishtank out of oak plywood, gave it a nice deep red finish. Tore up the 10 gallon tank, moved all the fish into a fishbowl during this process. Put all the old plants into my 75gallon tank for now sense that tank isn't really set up well yet anyway. We ordered a bunch of plants for this tank and got a co2 injection system started on it. And with the co2, comes the light. Yes, we found a dual compact floresent strip like for this tank. 2 65watt bulbs, thats INSANE! Making this tank a high light tank. So we planted it with a bunch of High lighting plants. Thats where we're at now. So, current tank stats are:
24" dual indivisualy switched Coralife compact floresent strip light fixture, one atinic blue, other full spectrum. Millennium 2000 filter. Full glass hood. 150watt titenium heater with external temp controller. 20lbs of florite substrate. 10lbs of it is "Red florite."
