The Weather station is moving!

Well, I ran into some trouble with today's gas prices. I wasn't able to afford the commute anymore from Gold Bar to Everett. So I had to re-locate as a result. The weather server will no longer run and record data from Big Bend, in Gold Bar for I am unable to pay the rent out there and internet access, on top of living in a place near Everett. So, I have moved, and the weather station will be re-installed and operating sometime next month in the North Ridge neighborhood of Shoreline, Washington. Check back for more details.

Downtime from 5-25-2008 to now...

Sorry about the weather server being down sense 5-25-2008 at 6:55pm. I just noticed it wasn't updating today. The server had been re-booted, probably due to a power outage or power surge. Anyway I logged back on, started up the server, did some updates and everything should be running again pending no more power issues. For now the graph will be blank as it is drawing a new one for the next few hours.

March 30th, 2008 Snow event

Yay for late snow. It started snowing last night around 8pm here and hasn't stopped yet. However it's warmed up enough that the snow on the ground is melting. Before it warmed up there was about 4-5 inches on the ground. I measured 3.5 inches just now. Anyway I took some quick pictures for everyone to see, here they are.

Outage

There was an unplanned outage tonight with the weather server. Updates stopped at about 2:15am. Just now got everything back online. I had to do a bunch of cleaning under my computer desk and part of the process required disconnection of the router and cable modem. Everything's back up now.

As my first attempt to fix the main switch for the house failed, I will make a second attempt tonight. The weather station will not be updating for about an hour sometime between midnight and 3am. If any significant weather occurs I will post here anything the station might have missed during the down time.

Well I was down for about an hour and a half the other night. But the breaker replacement was unsuccesful. I will schedule a new down time at a later date when I have another chance to fight the breaker box. Ahhh good old Zensco breaker systems.

There will be a scheduled outage tonight on the weather station at about 9pm-10pm. I have to service the main power breaker to the house as it is failing. Should be back up no later than 11pm.
