loose leaf veggies
Thursday, February 28th, 2008Past month or so, the fresh lettuce and flat spinach have been bug free. In fact, even dirt free almost. Only 1 small flying bug the past few weeks and not sure that it came from the lettuce.

the Lunar Eclipse
Thursday, February 21st, 2008Actually had a pretty good view, the clouds went away about 1/2 before the action.
Usually I have a good view of the Moon from the porch area, last night I went outside a few times to be in a darker area to watch.
I didn’t see the action from the start, I got to it after the Moon was in shadow (I misread the times - didn’t realize 7p was when shadow finished). The color seemed to me kind of dull orange , eventually turning to grey. It was really neat watching the Moon get out of the shadow - the bright white getting larger and larger.
