Some knowledge of English is required for full participation. The class will use the Community
Life in the USA workbooks published by Federal Way Branch of AAUW. A different topic will be
covered in each class session. Each session will include small group discussion time with volunteers
from the sponsoring organization and the community.

The American Association of University Women is a volunteer organization with 135,000 members across the United States. It has promoted education and equity for women and girls since it was founded over 100 years ago. Membership in AAUW is open to colle ge and university graduates holding a Bachelor's Degree or higher degree from a regionally accredited college or university in the United States or an equivalent degree from a foreign university. Student memberships for college and university students ar e also available.
