Solar Lamp
This is a concept design for a very low cost battery powered solar charged lamp that is made of pottery using only basic skills and equipment that already exist everywhere in the developing world. The battery, wiring, lights and solar panels are all printed on adhesive backed flexible plastic to enable easy, inexpensive assembly.
Put this sturdy lamp in the sun for the day and it will provide hours of bright white light.
The materials are aluminum, modeler’s foam, tape and paper.
Eight LEDs are powered by a pair of
12-Volt batteries.
