The CR1 requires a preamplifier with 100MOhms input impedance, such as the Reson VP1000 (PDF) or Reson VP2000 (PDF) preamplifiers. If a preamplifier with 1MOhms input impedance is used, then the low frequency -3dB point will be at 20Hz instead of 0.2Hz and the -20dB point will be at 2Hz instead of 0.02Hz.

††The CR2 also requires a preamplifier with 100MOhms input impedance, such as the Reson VP1000 (PDF) or Reson VP2000 (PDF) preamplifiers. If a preamplifier with 1MOhms input impedance is used, then the low frequency -3dB point will be at 200Hz instead of 2Hz and the -20dB point will be at 20Hz instead of 0.2Hz.

†††CR1 hydrophones are individually spot calibrated at the factory; calibration guaranteed between -5ºC and 30ºC.

CR2 hydrophones are not individually calibrated, but calibrated frequency response measurements can be performed upon request.

rated NEMA-4X water resistant
(excluding connectors), requires
single 9V battery (not included)
9V battery life > 20 hrs

standard signal connection is through a 1/4" phone jack equipped with a water resistant cover or a watertight BNC connector-

external headphone amplifier available

standard signal connection is through a female BNC connector

Battery /connector box options integral water-resistent connectors
high-pass filter switch built into battery box
wire battery box to accept power from external supply
