Those of you who came to the annual meeting in June were able to view the impressive new bookshelves and our splendid new acquisitions of classic and reference books donated by Kate Millard's aunt, Mary Irby, under the direction of Dr. Charles Chavkin. The number of books in our general collection has increased by many volumes because of donations by Sharon Driscoll, Gordon Keating, and Ethne Vik.
We have greatly expanded our collection of past Journals of Analytical Psychology, Parabola, Psychological Perspectives and Spring, thanks to generous arrangements from the San Francisco C.G. Jung Institute Library.
We hope to have books in the library written by our coming speakers so you may be better prepared for their presentations. For our September 19th panel discussion on "Jung & Religion," we have several books on religion, including Jung's book Psychology and Religion. We have several books by Murray Stein, Lionel Corbett's book The Religious Function of the Psyche, and four books by Christine Downing.
Please volunteer to staff the library so we can be sure it will be open on our scheduled dates. Membership is required for all volunteers, and for those who wish to borrow books, periodicals, or tapes.
