Library News

The library is currently being updated to be an even better resource for its members and the community. A database of all library materials is being created thanks to the time and Herculean efforts of Bunny Brown, Karen Campbell, Laurene Peterson, and Golda Posey. This database will enable us to locate material by subject as well as title and author. We are looking forward to introducing this wonderful resource to the academic communities in hopes that students and faculty of our colleges and universities will want to avail themselves of our rich collection. The library still needs more volunteers who can help us keep the doors open on Saturday afternoons. We are offering a 50% discount per event per shift covered in the library. Those who have worked in the library have found it to be a pleasant, relaxing opportunity to peruse the books and periodicals with a few little chores (i.e., checking in books, readying material for the shelves, etc.) on occasion. If you would like to find out more about the library and/or volunteering, please contact Judith Capili at (206) 722-6321 or (206) 781-5611.
