Picture a set of cups nesting within one another. The outer cup, the Wallingford neighborhood, makes a sturdy container. Within this cup is nested the Good Shepherd Center, a historic building that now houses the offices of many good causes. Nested within the Good Shepherd Center you'll find a welcoming and comfortable environment brimming with delicious reading materials: the Jung Society Library.
I want to invite you to visit the library and make a day of it. The library is a great resource for students, counselors, writers--anyone interested in the works of Jung and Jungians. Browse through the used books we have for sale. We welcome donations of books, either to add to our permanent collection or to sell to raise funds for ongoing library needs. We're accepting member volunteers at this time and beginning to fill the Saturday slots for the new year. Volunteering at the library is a pleasant way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Moreover, volunteers are rewarded with half-price admission to Jung Society lectures and workshops.
I hope you'll give yourself the opportunity to visit or volunteer soon. For more information about the library or volunteering, call me at (206) 781-5611.
Early in November the Society received a phone call from Elizabeth Boyle, who found us on our web page. She wanted to donate some books and related materials to the Seattle Jung Society because her recently deceased grandmother, Pat Lantow, had been a founding member of our group in 1973. Eighty-three books, several pamphlets and periodicals were given to us by the family of Pat Lantow. We are grateful for the delivery and gift of these materials, which will appear on our library shelves soon.
Happy winter reading!
