Membership

One shelf of the Jung Society Library is devoted to yearbooks of past Society activities. As a new membership chair, it's encouraging to me to review these records and find the names of members who have supported our group for so long. A few have been with the Society for the entire duration of its 24 years.

Nancy Alvord was President of the founding Board of Directors, and is still a major supporter of the Society today. Also on that first board were Virginia Hoyte, still a member in good standing, and George Doczi, whose widow Aina was also a member and maintains her membership today. Other members in 1973 were Charles and Mildred Ludwig. When he renewed his membership this year Charles included a short note that said, "Dear Jungians, Mildred died some time ago. . . . I recently married again, to Betty Haan. I appreciate getting notices and keeping contact."

Moving forward twelve years to 1985, twenty-two more members of today are found on the lists. These are:
Genevieve Beach Faith Hogan
Bunny Brown David Hufford
Mary Colfelt Cora Lawrence
Beatrice Culver Martha Nyhagen
Kent & Lucretia Devine Dennis Ragan
Ruth & Bob Dunn David & Char Slotnick
Paul Fedorowicz Alward Selves
Fred Hauser Vickie Tomlinson
Gretchen Hegeman Mickey Voegtlin
Marla Herbig

Every member's participation strengthens the Society and helps it bring more value to others. Those who have stayed involved over the decades deserve special appreciation for their support.

New Members

A get-acquainted meeting for new members is planned for Saturday, January 10 at 2:30 pm, just following the workshop by Terry Gibson. This orientation will be held in the Jung Society Library. Members who have joined this year will have an opportunity to visit the library, meet members of the board, and talk about their interests in Jung and thoughts about the Society.

Since spring of last year we have had over fifty new members join (or re-join) us. We offer a warm welcome to them.

Renewing Members

This year Nancy Alvord renewed as a Sustaining Member, demonstrating again her strong commitment to the C. G. Jung Society.

We are also grateful for the continuing support of other renewing members.

Use the provided form to join, or renew your membership in, our Society. Dues and contributions are tax-deductible.
