Our SeaScape "contact network" The selection of hotels available in Turkey is even larger than Greece - ranging from small pensions to luxurious 4 star establishments. We've picked out just a few where we have either stayed and loved ourselves, or which have been highly recommended to us by our SeaScape sailors. The Mehtap Hotel - situated immediately on the seafront, ALL rooms have balconies and uninterrupted ocean views! The beach is nothing special (but then that's true of all Marmaris); but the ocean is still beautiful anyway. There's a large swimming pool and bar area too. Besides it's friendly staff, we chose this hotel for it's position on the seafront, a little away from the main centre (less traffic and late-night-partying noise!), yet still only 5mins walk to the town/bazaars, etc. It's also easy walking distance to the Turkish Airlines office (and free bus to Dalaman airport!).
We recommend you book this through an agency, as getting hold of them direct has proven "challenging"!
FETHIYE
Yeni Yacht Hotel
This is a little place about 10mins walk from the main town, and actually where we dock our
boats for trip rendezvous! It's a beautiful little spot with a pool/restaurant/lounging area
immediately on the waterfront; nice-sized rooms, many with balconies overlooking the
water too.

ISTANBUL
There are a multitude of hotels in Istanbul, many excellent ones and very reasonable prices. Two which have received particularly good feedback are:The Arena hotel in the Sultanahmet area of Istanbul; walking distance to all the great sites such as Topaki palace, grand bazaar, Blue Mosque, etc; and the Grace hotel, in the Taksim area close to embassies and the more high end shopping.
