Have you ever noticed how a flock of birds in flight will turn to the left or to the right at exactly the same moment? Most people who have watched birds in flight agree that the birds could not have accomplished this by simply following the "lead bird". There had to be some sort of automatic communication process taking place between the birds.
The Philosophy of Exotischism embraces the idea that there is an automatic communication process taking place between human beings. Whenever two or more people are together, subconscious spiritual messages are traveling between their souls, exchanging information, educating the other person, and influencing the other person. This information travels between our subconscious minds in a manner similar to the way that radio, television, and cell phone signals are sent. But instead of us broadcasting our data out to the world, it is more likely that there is a force in nature that comes into us, draws out our subconscious spiritual thoughts and feelings, and passes those thoughts and feelings around to other people.
A
Spiritual Snapshot
In the early days of man's development the automatic subconscious spiritual
communication system worked fine and no one felt a need to try to understand how
it worked. The caveman's spiritual nature helped him keep his group together
just like the birds' automatic communication processes helped them to fly in formation.
Eventually people from all parts of the world started to develop religions to help them understand the spiritual phenomenon that they intuitively knew existed. But by the nineteenth century, with the advances in science, a lot of people were already questioning those religions. By the time the twentieth century arrived and two world wars had shattered a lot of people's faith, ideas such as existentialism began to flourish. Existentialism encouraged people to use logic to sort out the complex problems of life rather than relying on religious ideas that were based on myth and that were no longer useful in a complex society.
Why are we unable today to believe in spiritual forces? For one thing we no longer have a spiritual road map that we can trust. Many years ago religion provided people with a way to perceive of the spiritual world. Those people who lacked spiritual abilities could at least learn about spiritual forces and were able to develop spiritual faith through the church. As existentialism and scientific thought spread throughout the world it also spread to the people in the church. A lot of the leaders in the church did in fact denounce science when it questioned the creation story and they also denounced existentialist types of thought. But these very same church leaders (and their followers) were being constantly influenced by the advance of science and existentialist thought themselves through the subconscious spiritual communication process and through their contact with society. They slowly started to change in a manner that eventually made them become very similar to the existentialists.
Those of us who were born in the latter part of the 20th Century could sense spiritual activity coming into us from our parents (and from other people who we had contact with early in life). From these spiritual connections we "picked up" the same spiritual information that robbed the leaders in the church of their belief in spiritual forces many years earlier. The spirit of reason, logic, and practicality came into our souls at an early age and it robbed us of our belief in spiritual forces.
The
Rise Of The Warrior Class
As
the 20th Century came to a close it was starting to become clear that a new
class of people was beginning to develop.
The seeds that helped to create this new class of people (who in later
years were to behave in many ways like the warriors of the past) were being
planted as early as the 1930's.
In
the years preceding World War II many people began to abandon their religious
beliefs because of the conflicts between religious myths and science.
During World War II the excesses of the warlords in Asia and the white
supremacists in
In
the period following World War II there were many books and articles published
that showed how people are capable of putting complexes on other people by doing
something unfair to them or saying something unfair about them and then tying them in psychological "knots" from which they cannot
escape by denying that they have done anything wrong. There
were a lot of people at that time who believed that by the year 2000 people
would no longer want to gain feelings of personal power by taking advantage of
other people psychologically. It was thought that once people realized the
manner in which they were hurting other people, they would want to stop doing
it.
Over
the past few years the new class of warrior that has developed around the world
has shown that it takes pride in taking advantage of people who are
psychologically (and spiritually) vulnerable. Instead of using the
information that has been published on psychological weaknesses to help other
people become stronger, they have used that information to purposely abuse people who have
been abused enough already.
Someday
the excesses of this new warrior class are likely to catch up with its members in much
the same way that the excesses of the warlords in Asia and the white
supremacists in
Eight
Miles High
In
the period following World War II a lot of people were beginning to realize that
mankind had been living in a dream world. People had been flying high believing
in myths that had no basis in fact and were now having to face the harsh reality
that they were about eight miles high and were falling uncontrollably back
towards the ground. There
was a period of time in the late 1960s when the children of prominent families
were walking around dazed from the drugs they were taking and were
joining cults that took advantage of the problems they had adjusting to the fact
that they were not really better than other people.
But when people began to see how hard it was for the middle and upper
classes to adjust to the harsh realities that were starting to become obvious at
that time, many people tried to create the impression that the people who were
starting to benefit from the shattering of the old myths (those people who were
the most spiritually and psychologically vulnerable) were actually the ones who
had been flying too high. Once again the children of the middle and upper
classes felt like they were better than other people (at least they were better
than those wayward people who had been flying too high hoping that they could
escape the spiritual and psychological bondage that they had been placed under).
One of the reasons why people in the late 1960s felt that they had been
flying too high in the past was that they began to realize that they were
constantly attacking other people spiritually and psychologically by doing
unfair things to them and saying unfair things about them and then denying that
they had done anything wrong. Yet at the same time they professed to
believe in religions and philosophies that put forth ideas such as "do unto
others as you would have them do unto you" and "a journey of a
thousand miles begins with one step". They were flying high (and were
for perhaps the first time in their lives vulnerable) because there was a wide
gap between what they professed to believe and the way that they actually lived
(and because everyone knew that there was a wide gap between what they professed
to believe and the way that they actually lived).
Many people also began to fear that eventually they might be asked to give
back the spiritual power that they had stolen from other people in the past when
they unfairly attacked them spiritually and psychologically and then denied that
they had done anything wrong. Many of the stronger members of society had
a lot of spiritual energy (and they were capable of giving and receiving love
with that spiritual energy) but they realized that their love was based largely
on being "rich in spirit" from having stolen their spiritual power
from other people. In order to avoid a situation where society might start
to criticize them and take away the spiritual power they had stolen, they
started to reach down (and reach out) to people who were a little bit more
spiritually and psychologically vulnerable than themselves ( but who were
basically the same as themselves in terms of thinking that it was not really
wrong to steal spiritual power from other people). They tried to get these
people to join them in the practice of stealing spiritual power from the people
in society who were the most spiritually and psychologically vulnerable.
They hoped that society would allow them to hold on to the spiritual power that
they had stolen in the past because they would appear to be doing something that
was good in the present (helping millions of people who were less fortunate than
themselves to increase their feelings of spiritual power).
Many efforts were made at this time by the stronger members of society to educate the people who were not quite as cool (or not quite as together) as themselves on how they could increase their spiritual energy by learning how to take advantage of people who were even more spiritually and psychologically vulnerable than themselves. As a result of these efforts, over the past few years more people have been flying high than ever before. Originally, the stronger members of society had been flying about eight miles high because of the wide gap between what they professed to believe and the way that they actually lived. When they showed the people who were a little bit more spiritually and psychologically vulnerable than themselves (people who had originally only been flying about two to three miles off the ground because of the smaller gap that then existed between what they professed to believe and the way in which they actually lived) the secrets of how they could steal the spiritual power of those who were even weaker spiritually and psychologically than themselves, then these people began to fly much higher than they had flown before. They increased the height at which they were flying from about two to three miles to about eight miles because of the much wider gap that now existed between what they now professed to believe and the way that they actually lived. There were now tens of millions of people who were flying eight miles high.
Diamonds
in the Sky
It is becoming increasingly common for us to see several people benefiting from
the miraculous technology of the cell phone at the same time. It may not always
seem miraculous to us (like when the person is in front of us in line at the
sandwich shop and is allowing his or her phone call to slow down the progress of
the line), but nonetheless it is an amazing technology.
The next time you see two or more people using their cell phones at the same time try to picture in your mind the dynamics of what is taking place. Each person’s cell phone is sending and receiving electronic messages at an incredible speed. The electronic messages from the various cell phones are not only going up into the sky but they are also going in different horizontal directions.
Several thousands of years ago people from all parts of the world began to develop religions to explain the spiritual phenomenon that they believed were an intricate part of who they were. Many of these people felt that a divine being was somewhere up above (somewhere in the sky or in heaven). While spiritual activity may have always been a part of man’s nature, it is interesting to speculate that perhaps a burst of meteor activity (or some other event) in the atmosphere several thousands of years ago may have increased our level of spirituality to a higher level than where it had been before. Man may have "existed" before the "divine power" arrived on the scene, but felt an increased surge of spiritual energy after some sort of special atmospheric event occurred that increased our level of spirituality (and increased our awareness of our spirituality).
We should try to occasionally picture in our minds the spiritual activity that is taking place whenever we see two or more people together. We should picture spiritual messages being sent and received at an incredible speed. We should picture how these spiritual messages are not only going up into the sky but how they are also going in different horizontal directions. Once we are able to picture this it should be easier for us to understand the strong religious beliefs that people held in the 18th and 19th Centuries and in the early part of the 20th Century (before the advances in science began to raise questions about the religious myths that many of our religions are based on). Maybe our forefathers were not imagining things when they claimed that they received spiritual power from a divine being that was up in heaven. Maybe they did receive their spiritual power from up above (very much in the same way that we do today).
Navigating a Straight
Course
Most of us
who were born in the last half of the 20th Century were encouraged very strongly
by our teachers and by our families to learn to think as carefully and as
logically as possible. We were taught to respect science and we were
taught to challenge any ideas that were not backed up by cold and hard
facts. Our teachers and families were not trying to mislead us. They
wanted us to be able to successfully navigate our way through life and they
sincerely believed that it was dangerous to accept any ideas that were not based
on the facts.
The same respect for the truth that was instilled in all of us as children is causing a lot of people to start questioning the physical laws that in the past have been so important to science. But while a lot of people are impressed by the argument that energy is matter (we may be able to exchange spiritual information with other people in the same way that radio, television, and cell phone signals are sent and received), the real reason we are starting to once again believe in spiritual forces is that we realize from our experience dealing with other people (and from our strong emotions towards other people) that our spiritual links (both positive and negative) with other people have had a large influence on our lives and will continue to have a large influence on our lives in the future. As we learn to better understand the nature of spiritual forces, we should be able to start steering a straighter and a more consistent course as we navigate our way through life.
