An exercise in a great colored pencil class taught by Barbara Newton.
An apple drawing I did
to work out some problems I have with making things dark enough.
Same apple,
different technique.
Apple again, this time with watercolor pencils.
I am going to experiment more with these.
I think it ended up looking a bit like a
sketch with colored markers. (Getting a
little tired of this apple, too.)
Color samples
of all the pencils I use. These cards have turned out to be extremely useful.
My husband pointed out a cool reflection in this
cup of coffee I was drawing. The backwards 3 on the left of the liquid is called a
caustic curve.
My new hair color
(as of March, 2003.)
Our vicious Senegal parrot, Tiki.
Our cockatiel,
Dazey, all puffed up and warm under the heat lamp in the shower.
My great great grandfather, Raphael Semmes, on a stamp.
