After completing the Master of Music program at the University of British Columbia, violinist Paul Luchkow moved to Amsterdam where he was a member of the chamber orchestra "Nieuw Sinfonietta Amsterdam", and played regularly with the Netherlands Radio Symphony Orchestra. A long time member of the Pacific Baroque Orchestra, Paul has also played with the Baroque Orchestra of the Netherlands Bach Society and now plays regularly with the Portland Baroque Orchestra. Since returning to Vancouver, Paul has helped to found two new ensembles: the Canada West Chamber Orchestra of which he is also the concertmaster, and the Burney Ensemble, Vancouver's newest period instrument chamber ensemble. In his spare time he is a dominating force on the Southern California Pro Beach Volleyball circuit.
