The Great Unknowns
Great music by unknown composers . . . some unknown masterpieces by well-known composers. Music of Joseph Boulogne, Le Chevalier de Saint-George (the "Black Mozart"), Ignatio Sancho (an African born into slavery who became a free man and composer in England), the mysterious Giovanni Antonio Pandolfi Meali, Jean-Daniel Braun, Isabella Leonarda, and others. The Baroque Northwest Quartet is joined by special guests violinist Paul Luchkow of Vancouver's Burney Ensemble, and violist da gamba Kathryn Smith Derksen.
