Pacific Dogwood (Western White Dogwood) cornus nuttallii

The pacific dogwood has a larger "flower" and a more creamy color than the eastern dogwood. This is one of two that seeded themselves in the garden. Three others came from a nursery.

This curved Pacific dogwood at our Orting house was intertwined with a curved douglas fir at the stump. Together with an S-shaped cedar, they became the framework for our native woods bench.
