Azalea Garden in Spring

More Azalea Garden in Spring

The first signs of spring change are the daffodils around the bench. Then the apple trees bloom in April but wait until May to sprout leaves. The azaleas hang on to winter as long as possible, showing almost no flowers or leaves until May. While our rhododendrons begin flowering from January to July, all of our deciduous azaleas open within a week or two of each other, creating a simultaneous splash of color.
