Smart Corvids

Crows and ravens are among our favorite birds in the garden, because they are so smart, and have such complex language and behavior. Doreen likes to talk with them.

Jays are cousins to crows and ravens, a fact that is easier to recognize by their voice than their color. We have scrub jays (right), Clark's nutcrackers, and stellar jays (below).
