| Many lilies are good companions because they bloom in the summer, after the rhododendrons have finished. This is an Easter lily, flowering in late July a year after being salvaged from an after-Easter sale. Other lilies sold as seasonal indoor flowers, such as the orange ones below, can be planted in the ground in milder climates, such as the Pacific northwest. |
