Vertical Squirrel

It is amazing to see a squirrel sit motionless on a vertical surface, suspending its weight from its claws gripping tiny crevices in a tree.

Equally amazing is watching a squirrel travel at high speed through a maze of contorted rhododendron branches while remaining five to ten feet off the ground.

Friends have told us that squirrels ravage their fruit, especially kiwi. We have never had that problem, but they seem to have plenty to keep them busy and fed with all the acorns.
