Azalea Slope Completed

* Azalea Slope Before *Azalea Slope in Bloom *

The clearing, grading, gravelling, and planting, and mulching are finished. Nearly 200 deciduous azaleas are awaiting the arrival of spring for a blaze of color and the rich green of new growth. More than 1300 hours of volunteer work by the Tacoma Chapter have gone into the recent restoration and development of the Point Defiance Rhododendron Garden. Special thanks to Bill Hicks for taking the lead in this project.
