Foothills Trail--Buckley
Foothills Trail
The Buckley Foothills Trail begins at the White River.  When a bridge is built here, it will connect with the Enumclaw trail directly opposite.
The trail continues through town and into a deciduous forest
of cottonwood trees.
Buckley has been a logging town for well over a century, and continues the tradition today.
Both the Foothills Historical Museum and the annual Loggers' Festival are located along the trail.
Lots of other local color to see, like chainsaw art
or a 50s diner.
The trail also has a wilder side, including this wetland along the north paved section,
or the challenging trail to the four bridges at the end of the pavement,
or the downhill descent to the river.
