Firestar's Graphics

These are the picture which I've made. There are not very many of them yet, but here is what I've done. . . If you want to see a larger version of any of them, all you have to do is click on the picture. There are larger versions of most of them.

The final version.

My latest work is a picture of a grandfather clock and it was my entry into the May-June 1996 Internet Ray-Tracing Competition (IRTC). The subject of that competition was time. I know it wasn't a very orriginal idea, but I mainly wanted to see how detailed of a Grandfather clock I could make by hand. I have included some of the partial test images that I created along the way along with the final version of the picture.

This is the actual image that I submitted to the IRTC. I figured it out and I got 37th place out of 121 entries!

The verry top of
the clock, done in red. The full clock, with
no door on the front. A close-up view of
      the door.

This set of pictures were a from the first time that I ever really started playing with POV-Ray. These were all made by hand. They consist of a diamond located within a pyramid of multi-colored balls surounding it. All of this was sitting on a pedistal over a body of water.

Distant Shot Close-up
looking at the green side. Close-up
      looking at the red side.

This next two images, are incomplete and probably never will be completed. I was working on an image of a well on an island when I got distracted by the Internet Ray-Tracing Competition. But, on the off chance that anyone is actually interested in this, here is what I have of the well.

Work in progress.

A low-res picture of
a well, with a black background. A foggy, version
of the well on a green plain, and a white sky.

I have made some other cool stuff for a friend of mine, Jennifer, but alas she does not like me showing them off to just anyone. So you won't be seing those.
