Currently I am a programmer at Blue World Communications working on Lasso, a web server for publishing FilemakerPro databases on the web.Previously, I developed automated test routines for verifying database validity using C++ and ODBC or native APIs at Infomodelers, a database modeling tool developer.

In addition to a Certificate in C programming from the University of Washington, I am the Head of Development (Lead Programmer) for Wide Open Workshop, where I did most of the programming on both the Creator and the Helper apps for Wide Open Web. Wide Open Web is a MacOS based Intranet product. I am currently working on version 1.1 and a Netscape Plug-in version.

I have worked with several development environments:

SQL

From 8/94 to 1/97 I was responsible for developing client/server applications in ORACLE (v. 7.x) involving report generation and online transaction processing for Contractors Bonding & Insurance Company. These applications required an in depth knowledge of ORACLE SQL. I was also responsible for handling the database administrative tasks such as tuning the database, setting up security, and monitoring users.

Centura (Gupta) SQLWindows

From 8/94 to 1/97 I was responsible for developing client/server applications using Gupta SQLWindows for the client-side development (using ORACLE as the database back-end) for Contractors Bonding & Insurance Company. I created several report generation/ad-hoc querying tools and several applications including a customer log/tracking system, and a departmental time-tracking system. My responsibilities also included creation and management of a SQLWindows class library.

Pascal

I first learned Pascal in high school. I continued working with Pascal while earning my B.A. at Reed College , writing several labratory control programs for the Macintosh to handle data from measurement equipment.

HTML

From 10/95 to 1/97 I was the Webmaster at Contractors Bonding & Insurance Company. Working with the marketing department, who provided the content.
