(3M SCC-1000 Static Shielding Bags, Open & Zip-Top)

Metallized Static Shielding Bags are used to protect static sensitive devices like circuit boards and other electronic components, especially with exposed semi-conductors. Static Shielding Bags offer the greatest protection with the Faraday Cage effect provided by the aluminum metal layer.

The measurements in the "Products and Prices" information are the inside sizes and the bags are FLAT, so you have to make allowances for more thick components like hard drives. Measure your parts carefully and allow wiggle room. Some of the smaller bags include an extra 1/8" of width.

Shipping Policies:

I try to provide shipping at cost with same day service if possible. The shopping cart calculates US Priority Mail, UPS Ground-Commercial & Residential, and US Air-Mail to Canada. US Mail is covered up to 70 pounds, and UPS up to 150 pounds.

Priority Mail rates are divided into five zones classified by ranges of zip codes. Find where your zip code fits and you have found your US Mail rate.

From the US Post Office: Regular Flat Rate Boxes for $9.85

There are two regular flat rate boxes with the dimensions:

11" x 8.5" x 5.5" -&-

11.875" x 3.375" x 13.625"

These ship for a flat rate of $9.85, regardless of weight. If you think your order will fit in one of those boxes (roughly a maximum of 13 pounds, and no bags wider than 12 inches), then you can choose that Shipping Method from the shopping cart.

The regular flat rate boxes, as described above, can also ship internationally. Canadian and Mexican boxes can ship for $24.65, and other countries can ship for $39.85 USD. These options are also in the shopping cart.

UPS Ground is based on coast to coast delivery; your actual shipping could be less. I routinely refund overpayments of more than $2.00. (If I forget, please remind me!)

If you would like me to use your Fed Ex or UPS Account Number, please choose Custom Shipping ($0.00), and write me a note on the next shopping cart page, or send e-mail with your account number and corresponding zip code. UPS does not allow the use of a receiver's account number with a COD order.
