Liquid Trivia: Are YOU smarter than an alcoholic?

Liquid Trivia happens every Monday night at 8PM at the 2008 NW Source People’s Picks winner for Angriest Bukkake Bar: Tony’s Liquid House

Tony’s Liquid House is located at 2317 N. 45th St in Wallingford.  It’s between Al’s and the Erotic Bakery, just west of Sunnyside Ave.  The sign just says “Tony’s” in small letters, so keep your eye out.

The Rules of Liquid Trivia:

The entry fee is $5 per team, with a 4 person per team max. Please stick to the 4 person max.

  • First prize is the pot minus $5
  • Second prize is a set of steak knives free round of drinks
  • Third prize is you’re fired
  • The last place team gets to pick next week’s theme round

Liquid Trivia is usually five rounds of ~10 questions, though we do like to add a bonus here and there. Topics are as follows:

Round 1 – Current Events

Round 2 – Picture Pages

<Grading and smoke break>

Round 3 – Music

Round 4 – General Knowledge

< Grading and smoke break >

Round 5 – Theme round

Each question, including bonus questions, is worth one point unless otherwise noted. Write your names at the top of the cards.

A team may collect two bonus points if their entire team does a round of Sparks Bombs.  Sparks bombs are the house drink here at Tony's Liquid house, and are the sadistic blend of Jagermeister and Sparks. Sparks is what happens when pruno goes wrong.  Since Darik is getting better at making pruno, the bonus round has been expanded to include Prison Sex. You may not ask what is in a Prison Sex.  Points are awarded upon finishing the shots. A max of two points per team may be earned through drinking.

Bonus points are not awarded for washing your hands after using the restroom, so don’t bother. If you're going to be fancy pants about it, go do trivia at someplace classy, like the Barnoff.

At the end of the evening, there will be a “jackpot round” of three questions. If a team answers all three questions correctly, they’ll win the rolling jackpot; otherwise it will be carried over to the next week (and increased by $5).

In the case of a tie, the winner will be determined by the best score on the jackpot round. If the score is still tied, mumbly peg!

This isn't sex with Deb, so no electronic help. Pacemakers count as electronic help.

No slurring out the answers! People are playing for money, and you may get stabbed for your insouciance.

And finally, No Whining. If you have complaints, mumble them to yourself for the next 20 years, just like the regulars here at Tony’s.
