Mesothelioma

I got to thinking about this... We've been here for about 22 years now. When we moved in, our neighbors on east side of us, the husband had worked for a shipyard and had worked with asbestos and he was ill with asbestoses. After a few years he died, but his wife remained.

Not long after her husband died, his wife began to have lung problems, and eventually she had to be on oxygen as well. Eventually she died from lung problems as well.

I don't think either of them had mesothelioma, it was an issue with their lungs themselves rather than the lining.

I wonder why the lawyers are targeting only mesothelioma and not asbestoses which would appear to be more common.

You know that's gotta be a horrible way to die, not being able to get enough oxygen. Just thinking about the terrible feeling that comes when I hold my breath. When I was younger I used to suffer from asthma, and the feeling of not being able to breath was terrible and for me those were usually relatively short lasting attacks 15-30 minutes or so, only rarely longer. I can't imagine that on an ongoing basis until you reach the point where you can't get enough oxygen to support life any longer.
