Dreams and Visions
I've had many dreams and visions which have been prophetic. There are some that I can tell with certainty are prophetic, these have a special quality where I experience them as exactly a slice of time and space somewhere that I will later experience exactly in all the details.
Ordinarily, my dreams have a logical inconsistencies, I will find myself morphing from one location to another, or one time to another, or even one perspective to another. For example, I've had dreams where I start out watching a character from a third party perspective and than at some point become that character. Often there are logical inconsistencies in the dream scenario itself.
Prophetic dreams are not like that for me. I experience them exactly as I would a waking time slice. And invariably, I will eventually experience exactly that time slice.
Often people speak of deja vu, and hemisphere synchronization theories abound to explain them but I know for a fact that this is not the right explanation. I know this because I used to experience deja vu very frequently, and one time I experienced it while the radio was on and it was a live Art Bell show. I was familiar with the hemisphere desynchronization theory and so I decided to test it. I spoke the words I knew Art Bell would speak in advance of him speaking them and I did this for about fifteen seconds. I heard my own words say what I said before I heard his so this disproved the hemi-desync theory.
What I think Deja Vu is, is that people have these prophetic dreams or visions as I do but they do not remember them. When the time comes they recognize that they've experienced it before but they do not remember the specific source of the previous experience.
I get prophetic dreams in two forms actually, the first is as I've explained here, a slice of time that I will later re-live exactly as I dreamt it, every nuance. The second form comes in the form of lucid dreams. In these dreams I become aware that I am dreaming and then I can go anywhere and anywhen I want to just by thinking about it, and it's instantaneous, as soon as the thought comes I'm transported there. These I have tested by going some place that I haven't been but within driving distance, making careful notes about the surroundings, and then driving there to verify what I've seen and it's always 100% in every detail.
I also have waking equivalents of both of these. Occasionally I will be sitting, and a time slice vision will just insert itself into my stream of consciousness, and I've also had waking out of body experiences the first of which was qualitatively similar to lucid dreams in that I could go places by thinking about it, but I've only had one of these and in this one I went to the fourth planet orbiting Alpha Centauri. What I saw there was a very sun-like star, and the planet was earth-like in some ways, different in others.
Like earth, it was a planet with a surface about there quarters water and a quarter land, and the land was distributed in a very similar manner as on earth, there were continents and islands and lakes and oceans and rivers. It had an oxygen rich atmosphere with water clouds and weather systems similar to earths.
Where it differed is that it was physically significantly larger than earth, maybe 4x earth's diameter. It had a visibly much thicker atmosphere. When you look at earth from a geosynchronous orbit, you see a planet with just a paper thin appearing atmosphere. I was a similar distance in space above this planet, but the atmosphere appeared about an inch thick instead of paper thick looking at the edge. Moreover, when you looked straight down, the clouds existed at various altitudes and it created a very three dimensional appearance to the cloud cover relative to the earths. The thicker atmosphere distributed heat around the planet and so there was little temperature difference between the poles and equator or between day and night. It was a tropical bordering on temperate climate planet-wide. The planet lacked a significant moon, nothing like the earths moon.
I was not able to go back to the surface, I was called back to my body by fighting children.
This is the only waking out of body experience I've had that I had control over and unfortunately I can't readily verify what I've seen, yet. I knew nothing about Alpha Centauri prior to this experience but I wanted to find out if it could potentially harbor a life sustaining earth like planet, so I did some research.
Alpha Centauri is 1.05 solar masses but about a billion years older. The higher mass meant that it was initially hotter, but that it has had a billion years more evolution cooled it down, and at this point the temperature and spectrum is almost identical to our sun. So from this perspective it is ideal for life.
Then there was the question of whether or not a planet could have a stable orbit. Alpha Centauri is at least part of a binary star system, it may be part of a triple star system but it is not known if Proxima Centauri (also sometimes called Gamma Centauri) is gravitationally bound to the others.
It turns out that Alpha Centauri and Beta Centauri orbit each other at a distance sufficient to allow stable planetary orbits out to about the distance mid-way between Mars and Jupiter, so stable planets could exist within the habitable (Goldilocks) zone. It has been said that earth's moon lends a stability to the polar inclination that stabilizes the climate. However, I believe the thicker atmosphere might have compensated for a wondering polar inclination by distributing heat evenly.
So right now, I know that Alpha Centauri was as it appeared to me in my visit, but whether the planet as I described exists, we can't know at present. Corot, a new planet finding satellite will have the capability of detecting rocky planets of this size if their orbit causes them to transit the surface of their parent star form our perspective.
The other out of body experience was drug induced and I was totally out of control. I kept finding myself out in deep space and then re-entering my body over and over again. It was accompanied by an intense vibration and a buzzing sound like 10,000 flies circulating around my head. It was an intensely unpleasant experience which I have no desire to repeat. It was the result of starting a drug for ADD that my body initially had some difficulty adjusting to.
Here I've just given the nature of these dreams that I have, I will elaborate on the content in following posts.
