Aunt's House Burning Basement
Had a strange dream last night that I think was a fusion between my father leaving when I was a kid and running out of heating oil last night.
I dreamt I was staying at my aunts house and that there was burning scrap wood in the basement providing heat.
Now the heat thing I think came from the fact that we ran out of heating oil last night and I had to go to a gas station and get some diesel so we could have heat until we can have some oil delivered.
But the aunt's house thing... My father left home when I was about ten, myself and my sister were left at our aunts who at the time lived in Shoreline very close to where I live now, (now she is re-married and living in Iowa). When we were brought back home my father was gone.
That's the only time I ever stayed at that house. Also in the dream I had I talked to my father who said, "You're still hung up about when I left you in 1961", except in real life he didn't leave in 1961, though my sister was born close to that time.
I don't think there is anything predictive in this just re-hashing of old-life events and current events, probably part of the memory integration process.
