Quadradic Magnetic Gate

A while ago I had a dream that was set in the future and featured levitating technology. One device was an advertising platform. It was a rectangular box that had an array of LED's or some other light emitting device that resembled LED's on one side and levitated up in the air to serve as an advertising platform over public events. Something like the Goodyear blimp would do today except that instead of being a lighter than air vehicle it used some form of anti-gravity levitation.

In the dream, I got to see inside this device. It was basically an aluminum chassis that had these devices attached inside that looked like transformers only the core was not a normal configuration and there were four windings on the core that connected to some electronics that involved power transistors.

Tonight, I ran across a device on the Internet that looks exactly like the cores did in this dream except without the windings around them. The device is called a quadratic magnetic gate and is associated with "free energy" devices.

Used as it is in the videos on youtube, it only propels a fixed magnet down a tube and doesn't prove anything or do anything useful.
