Travelling Zoo / Circus / Conservation Corps

I had a strange dream last night that I was part of some traveling circus/zoo/conservation corps organization. Our mission was to collect, show, and attempt to repopulate various threatened animal and plant species.

There was a political unit in the United States that consisted of the states Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming, that was largely controlled by a corporate oligarchy (pretty much like the entire United States presently is).

That oligarchy wanted to eliminate many natural plant species in favor of genetically modified versions that were something akin to the terminator seed, that is, they did not produce viable seed, moreover, you couldn't even take a cutting and clone them like you can do with many plants.

I had seeds for an Apple tree that they had eliminated from the wild in this 11-state region. I had just been on a trip with this group and planted seeds from Washington, Oregon, California, and then over through Arizona, New Mexico, and into Texas.

Doing this was dangerous work. This controlling corporate group wasn't public about their mission to wipe-out the natural version of this Apple tree, so they couldn't publicly do anything, but it was known in our group that they would kill or otherwise make people disappear who opposed them.

I knew they'd be watching and try to dig up any seeds I planted, so I was planning on leaving the region after leaving Texas and planting some of these seeds in states outside this territory. However, I did not know if they would survive in the climate farther east.

I was going to go up north through Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, and into the Dakotas, then head back west home to my own state of Washington. I had left the traveling circus / zoo / conservation group at this point but planned to rejoin them at the end of the trip.
