Noir Filmography of Robert Siodmak

Born 8 August 1900, Dresden, Saxony, Germany
Died 10 March 1973, Locarno, Switzerland
Like his fellow expatriates from Germany (Otto Preminger, Fritz Lang, and Billy Wilder), Siodmak was trained in the German expressionist film style and lent a European sense to film noir. He directed some of the most influential noirs in the 40's including The Killers and Criss Cross (both with Burt Lancaster!).

Phantom Lady (1944)
Christmas Holiday (1944)
The Suspect (1944)
The Strange Affair of Uncle Harry (a.k.a., "Guilty of Murder?") (1945)
The Spiral Staircase (1946)
The Killers (1946)
The Dark Mirror (1946)
Cry of the City (1948)
Criss Cross (1949)
The File on Thelma Jordan (1949)
