Yes, it's one of those far-too-frequent bare-bones newsletters. More next
time. Sorry. For those of you who've sent me mail, please be patient.

On tap this time:

Subject: Quick news items

Sound bites:

No time. Must hurry! MERV GRIFFIN!

Local news:

KBTC's current pledge period is almost over. Give. Now.

The annual Rusting TARDIS picnic was rather lightly attended (at
least compared to last year's blow-out). Everyone should thank
Ryan for insuring excellent weather (as always).

Coming up at the Fremont Almost Free Outdoor Cinema: August 24 -
"[A Hard?] Days Night". B.Y.O. seating starting at 7pm, located
behind the Red Door Ale House, 670 N. 34th St. Program starts at
dusk. $5 donation. There are prizes for best costumes and "most
	original seating".

Miscellany:

Seen "Trainspotting" yet? Well, go back and look for the in-jokes.
The favorite one I heard so far (I haven't seen it yet, but I will)
is that during a scene in a bar (that is meant to evoke the milk bar
in "A Clockwork Orange") a song by "Heaven 17" can be heard in the
	background.

I'll bet no more than two or three of you got that "Sound Bite"
