The Grinch Who Stole Christmas (Redeux) Every Vancouverite Down in Vancouverville. Liked the Grizzlies a lot... But the Grinch, Who lived far away from Vancouverville, He had a PLOT! The Grinch wanted the Grizzlies, for his own selfish reasons. He would takes them away, in just one or two seasons. How on earth could he do this? Well please don’t ask why. “It’s an exciting time for my family”, he said with a sigh. Then he got an idea! An awful idea! THE GRINCH GOT A WONDERFUL, AWFUL IDEA! “I know just what I’ll do,” the Grinch said with a snear, “Why don’t l tell the fans what they want to hear!” “Don’t worry,” he said. His tongue began grooving. “No decision has been made about your team moving.” But way back in Grinchville, his workers made plans His main goal, they say, was filling his own empty stands. He’d plead with the NBA boys and NBA girls to help him turn the Grizzlies into the St. Louis Squirrels The Grinch grabbed the team, and he started to shove When he heard the small sound like the coo of a dove He turned around fast and he saw a small fan Little Cindy-Lite Vancouverite, who had heard of his plan. The Grinch had been caught by this little Vancouverite Who was quite surprised that she’d witnessed this sight. She stared at the Grinch and said, "Mr. Wal-Mart, why, "Why are you taking our Basketball team? WHY?" But, you know, that old Grinch was so rich and so mean He knew just what to say, to make his getaway clean. “My little sweet fan,” the Grinch said with a smirk. “It’s my team, I bought it. And I can act like a jerk.” “But don’t let that stop you...” he said with a frown. “To keep cheering the team. Even come to our town.” This is where this story ends, you see. It’s not one that end very happily. The team wasn’t saved by the Grinch, in a moment of joy. He just brought it home, to show off his new toy.
