2006  The NBA suspended Jerry Stackhouse for 1 game for his flagrant foul
      on Shaquille O'Neal during the 6/15/06 Mia-Dal Game 4.  His 
      flagrant foul was also upgraded from a level 1 to a level 2. 

2006  Avery Johnson moved the team from it's Miami hotel to a hotel in
      Fort Lauderdale 45 minutes away from the arena, citing a lack of 
      focus and vacation mentality by the team. 

2011  The Mavs held their Championship celebation with a parade from the
      Convention Center to the AAC in the morning followed by a rally in
      the AAC for season ticket holders.  Estimates were that 200,000
      were lined up along the parade route.  The parade had groups of 
      players and Mavs personnel on floats.  After the parade, the team
      went out on the veranda at the south end of the AAC (with fans in
      the plaza below) and sang "We Are the Champions".  Afterwards, the
      rally in the arena consisted of players, coach Rick Carlisle, and
      owner Mark Cuban being interviewed and cheered (with a singing
      of "Happy Birthday" to Dirk Nowitzki in the middle).  The events
      went off without a hitch with no major problems (or arrests).
