1996  Traded Cherokee Parks to Minnesota for the removal of the #2-6 
      protection of the 1997 Minnesota draft pick that Dallas had 
      acquired in the Sean Rooks trade of 11/2/94.

2001  Exercised their 2nd year option for Eduardo Najera.

2005  Added undrafted players Keith Langford, Filberto Rivera, and Josh 
      Powell to their summer league team.  Powell would make the 05-06 
      roster.

2007  Devean George elected to opt-out of his contract and became a 
      free agent. 

2007  Owner Mark Cuban underwent surgery to replace his left hip. 

2010  Dirk Nowitzki elected to opt-out of the last year of his contract, 
      making him a free agent.  GM Donn Nelson met with Nowitzki when 
      the free agency date began, 7/1/10, and reached a new 4 year, $80 
      million contract agreement with Nowitzki on 7/3/10 (with signings
      of new contracts restricted until after the July Moratorium ended
      7/8/10) and the contract was formally signed 7/9/10.

2012  In a 4-team trade, Dallas traded away Lamar Odom and the rights 
      to 2008 draft pick (#51) Shan Foster and received the rights to 
      2008 draft pick (#53) Tadija Dragicevic cash (and a $8.9 million 
      trade exemption); the LA Clippers traded away Maurice Williams 
      and the rights to 2012 draft pick (#53) Furkan Aldemir and 
      received Lamar Odom; Utah traded away the rights to 2008 draft
      pick (#53) Tadija Dragicevic and received Maurice Williams and 
      the rights to 2008 draft pick (#51) Shan Foster; and Houston 
      traded away cash and received the rights to 2012 draft pick (#53) 
      Furkan Aldemir.
