1984  Received New York's 1985 3rd round draft pick and 1986 2nd round 
      draft pick in exchange for not exercising the right of first 
      refusal when New York signed free agent Pat Cummings.

2000  Named Rolando Blackman as defensive coordinator.

2006  Traded Marquis Daniels to Indiana for Austin Croshere.

2007  Re-signed Devean George to a 1 year, $2,369,111 contract. 

2012  In a sign-and-trade, Dallas re-signed Ian Mahinmi to a 4 year,
      $16 million contract and traded him to Indiana for Darren 
      Collison and Dahntey Jones. 

2012  Used the amnesty clause on Brendan Haywood and released him.  
      Dallas would continue to pay the remainder of his contract (minus 
      the amount that Charlotte, who later won the bit to pick up 
      Haywood), but it would not count against the salary cap or the 
      luxury tax. 

2012  Dallas free agent Jason Kidd formally signed his new 3 year, $9 
      million contract with New York.
