1980  Named Dick Motta as head coach.  Motta would have a record of 267-307 
      (.465) in the regular season and 10-14 (.417) in the playoffs with 
      Dallas from 1980-81 - 1986-87.  He would resign 5/20/87.  [He would 
      again be hired as coach 5/17/94 and coach 2 seasons.]

1980  Named Bob Weiss as assistant coach.  [Dallas would only have 1 
      assistant.]
