1999  During summer camp, Leon Smith either walked off the court or was
      kicked out by Donn Nelson near the end of the afternoon session.
      Nelson told the players that they would have to run another set of
      sprints because Assane Ndiaye didn't complete the sprint in time.  
      Smith responded with, "Why don't you run it?"  The Dallas Morning 
      News reported that Nelson told Smith that he would have to run two 
      more sets and then Smith stormed off the court while the Fort Worth 
      Star Telegram reported that Nelson kicked Smith out of the session.
      Both Nelsons met with Smith and talked to him between the afternoon 
      and evening sessions.  Smith apologized to the team and coaches 
      prior to the evening session.

2000  Signed 1st round draft pick Courtney Alexander to a 3 year,
      $4,255,080 contract with a 4th year worth $2,168,193 at the team's
      option.

2005  Reached a 1 year, minimum agreement with free agent Avery Johnson.
      The contract would not be formally signed until 9/30/05.

2009  Signed 1st round draft pick (#25) Rodrigue Beaubois to a 2 year, 
      $2,231,520 contract with 2 more years worth $3,464,053 at the 
      team's option.
