The Mavs will be hosting a draft party as usual at Reunion on June 26. The doors open at 5:30 and parking is free. Jim Durham and Bob Ortegel will be the hosts. The draft itself starts at 6:00 and the TNT feed will be shown on large screens. TNT will also have a live remote at Reunion (they will also have remotes at Phoenix, Cleveland, and Philadelphia). The concession stands will be open and I assume so will the team shop (it would be stupid not to have it open). Southwest Airlines is a major sponsor of the party and I've been told that a lot of activities have been scheduled. It is usually a lot of fun, so if you have the opportunity, go. BTW, my money is on the Mavs trading the #6 pick. I think they will trade down and try to get one (or two) of the European centers. So, if the Mavs select a 1, 2, or 3 at #6, don't panic thinking that Kidd/Jackson/Mashburn will be traded; wait a bit for Stern to announce the trade (trades aren't announced until after all the picks for that draft that were part of the trade have been selected). Hmm, how about the #6 and Terry Davis to New York for the #18, #19, and Charlie Ward (the Mavs need a backup point)? patricia
