The Mavs released Jerome Allen, Ike Nwankwo, Carlos Strong, and Kevin
Whitted.  That means that Kevin Ollie will likely make the team - at least
until Robert Pack is ready to return.  Adrian Caldwell may stay until
Chris Anstey arrives (game 2 of the 3 game series is today and if his team
loses, he may be here sometime tomorrow, else he'll probably miss the
first two games of the season).  Robert Pack, Ace Custis, and Martin 
Muursepp will likely start the season on IR.  Erick Strickland will likely
be on the 12 man active roster and said his therapist said he has about a 
week and a half left for recovery.  The Mavs still need to cut one more 
player by Thursday night and that will likely be Reggie Freeman.

Kurt Thomas and Samaki Walker have been cleared for practice.
