The Mavs have announce the two pre-season games they will play.  Phoenix 
will be in town Saturday, January 30 and the Mavs will play in Phoenix 
Monday, February 1.  The tickets for the Mavs' home game will be free, but
the team has not yet announced how they will be distributed.

Dirk Nowitzki is in town, but is currently suffering from bronchitis and
not practicing with the local players due to his illness.  He is expected 
to be ready by the time training camp starts.  He says that he has had the
flu since Christmas, but he did play in 3 German games while sick (and
averaged 24 points in those games).

There are reports that, due to delays in getting the new CBA written, 
training camp will now start Tuesday, January 19 and the regular season 
will start Sunday, February 7.  The full regular season schedule for teams
have not been released yet and the reports are also indicating that the
schedule will not be released until next week.
